I hosted a workshop for TBD (ages 12-15) at Excite All Stars Summer Camp! I screened my films "A Brother's Choice" and "Crescendo" and taught a lesson about the roles within filmmaking using the film "Black Panther" as a guiding film. Campers did an activity where they fulfilled filmmaking roles (Cinematographer, Director, Actors, and Writers) and shot their own short film!

I hosted a workshop for Voyagers (ages 9-11) at Excite All Stars Summer Camp! I screened my film "Crescendo" and taught a lesson about genres and story mountain creation using the movie "Annie" to guide the lesson. The kids played interactive games during the lesson, and I led an activity where campers created their own story mountain.

As an alum of Edward Hynes Charter School, I returned to lead a filmmaking workshop for middle school students in the Talented in Visual Arts and Talented in Theatre programs. During the session, 47 students learned the fundamentals of storytelling, including how to build a story mountain and explore different film genres. They then developed their own story concepts using the same structure.
I also screened my short film Crescendo, giving students an inside look at a completed project and creating space for discussion about creative choices, craft, and process. This outreach experience allowed me to connect with young artists in my community and support the next generation of storytellers.
