About Gabrielle Vance 

 Gabrielle Vance is a 17-year-old filmmaker, multi-disciplinary artist, and youth leader dedicated to uplifting Black voices and stories through powerful, authentic storytelling. As a nationally selected Teen Director and alumna of Black Girls Film Camp, Gabrielle has written and directed an award-winning short film that explores themes like Black mental health, identity, and transformation. Her film Crescendo received three honors—including Best Overall Film. Crescendo follows a teen pianist who is mourning her uncles death and discovers an alternate universe where he is still alive.
Gabrielle’s artistic journey spans film, music, theater, and visual arts. With years of experience in piano and guitar, as well as training in acting and fine arts, she brings emotional depth and intention to every project. From performing in concerts and theater productions to showcasing original work in recitals and exhibitions, Gabrielle’s creative voice continues to grow across multiple disciplines.
Driven by a deep passion for storytelling that centers and celebrates Black experiences, Gabrielle uses her talents to amplify marginalized voices and create space for healing and empowerment. Whether behind the camera or on stage, she is committed to making art that inspires change and builds community.
